Christmas Challenge - Free

What you will need

• All-purpose flour
• salt 
• water 
• String
• Paint, sparkles, etc (anything to decorate your creations)
• Optional: Hair spray, 

Step 1: Homemade Ornaments

First things first, homemade ornaments!

• In a large mixing bowl place,
• 4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 cup salt
• 1.5 cups water

Preheat your oven to 300 degrees

Thoroughly mix all ingredients. 

Knead the dough until a Play-Dough like texture is achieved.

Give each person a ball of dough.

Roll the dough out until it’s 1/2 an inch thick. 

Each person then can form your desired Christmassy shapes.

Be creative, try to make something that reminds you of your favorite holiday movie.  

Once you have finished your design, poke a hole at the top large enough to run thread or ribbon through. But don’t put the thread through just yet! 

Place all your ornaments on a parchment covered baking sheet. Bake them for 30 minutes. 

Once cooled off, decorate with paints, sparkles, etc. 

Lastly, put a string through the hole at the top of your ornament. 

Additional tip, spray with hairspray or a clear polyurethane to keep forever!

Step 2: Decorate your tree!

It’s time to decorate! Grab a holiday beverage and have each person explain what their ornament is supposed to be. 

After everyone shares, have them place their ornament on the tree. 

Once the tree is finished it’s time to turn on your favorite holiday movie. Snuggle up and enjoy some quality time together!
